Celebrity

                                                                        Celebrity

A Celebrity is a famous or well know person. People these days adore celebrities like they have some kind of mystical power or do something in any way for them. Celebrities are usually famous because of talents or things they do for society but that is no enough reason to adore them. We should be adoring the celebrity that really did something for us, the one that was from the beginning and will be until the end and the one that died to save us, Jesus Christ.

Celebrities are great but they are just humans ironically crated by the one we should be praising. Our God deserves to be the most important celebrity to us. Not Miley Cyrus, Zac Efron, Johnny Depp, David Guetta, Calle 13 or any other of them can compare to Jesus. They are just entertainment to us; God is our savior & our only way to eternity.

Media

                                                                         Media
Lets face it; in these times we need media to subsist. Media is defined by Google dictionary as the main means of mass communication, specially: television, radio, Internet, newspapers, etc.  In times like this, people can’t life with out there smart phones. I won’t say this need or addiction we have is wrong because I am a user and not being able to communicate feels horrible. What I will say is that we should give time and passion to seek our God, read the Bible.

We depend too much on the media while we should be depending on the God saved us. We care more about our twitter, instagram and Facebook accounts than our own lives. We are turning into technocrats and forgetting that we have a non-technological real life given to us as a gift by God and we should be thanking Him. Media is great in lots of ways but we need to establish a balance between what really is important and the things that just make us happy. God goes first, that doesn’t change, you decide what goes after.

Marriage

                        Marriage

I believe marriage because our God gave us the Bible in which he tells us to get married to glorify him. I'm going to discuss some of the reasons for which people get divorced. One of this reason is that we start feeling the person we are with doesn't makes us happy anymore. As I said before, God wants us to glorify him; this is not about us. To get married we should unite with the right person; God has a perfect plan. Something we should think about before getting married is, ¿Will this person make happy forever or is this just temporary?

Life was a gift given by God and the reason was for us to glorify him. In marriage is the same but in it, we receive another gift in which we get to enjoy love, sex and family. Our God is giving us best, the least we could do is respect him and glorify him with our marriage.

Religion

Religion
We Christians don’t use the term “religion” to define our believes. Religion is a creation of man and is not the intention or design of God. Religion is a system of beliefs or a code of moral conducts that judge a person based on their adherence and obedience to certain codes, rules, laws, traditions, or a performance of required acts. It’s based on works, not grace. Christianity is different from every religion because all other religions state that you must earn your right to be close to God. The things you do in this life, good or bad deeds, determine you eternal life with Jesus. Christianity is not a Religion.

Some religions are: Mormonism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. In a religion man try to reach up to God but in Christianity God reaches down to man. Christianity, more than a religion, is a relationship. To society, Christianity is cataloged as a religion but we Christians are completely aware that its just a stereotype. We don’t have a religion with God; we have a relationship.

War

War
According to the Google dictionary, war is a state of armed conflict between different nations, states or different groups within a nation or state. The world has experience famous wars like: World War I, World War II, Vietnam War, The France Revolution and Civil War but I’ll emphasize in spiritual warfare. Spiritual warfare is the Christian version of the concept of taking a stand against supernatural evil forces. The foundation for this ideology is having a belief in evil spirits, which are able to intervene in human affairs.  We live in a constant war between our spirits and sins. It’s hard to fight our sins daily because they are part of our human life. Every day, humans deal with temptations that lead us to sin and we Christians fight with our spirits to stay loyal and trustworthy.

We Christians face this war and must of us fail lots of times. Temptations are hard to fight because they are things our mind wants us to do. The advantage for us Christians is that we have a powerful God by our side all the time and when we fall he picks us up, forgives us and takes us back to the battlefield. We Christians fight because Jesus died for us and saved us and just like he died for us, we want to live for him. We don’t do it forced by anyone; we fight this war because it’s the least we can do for the Him that gave it all for us.

Death

Death
I consider death is the beginning of a new life with Jesus. People are normally afraid of dying but Christians are not because our God promised us salvation and eternity by he’s side. Google dictionary defines death as the end of the life of a person or organism and by my beliefs, I know that my organism dies but my spirit doesn’t. We Christians believe that our spirits immediately go to heaven but if you don’t recognize God as your only savior, your spirit will experience complete death. Depending on what you believe in, the meaning of death changes.

If we make a comparison between Christians and non-believers definition of death, we will find completely different ideas. For us believers, as I explained before, death is the beginning of a new life with Jesus by our sides but non-believers have a whole different perspective. Non-believers or atheists believe we have no spirit or soul so when we die we decompose just like any other organic material. The one thing we have in common is that we want to make the best out of life. Atheists want to make the best out of it because they believe is all they have and they wont get anything else afterwards and we Christians because we want to thank in some way what Jesus did for us when he died to save every one of us from our sins. In other words, its your decision, either you believe or you don’t.  In other words, its your decision, either you believe or you don’t. As simple as that.

Happiness

Happiness
Happiness is pleasure, contentment and joy and I’m going to explain what brings me that felling. I’ve been happy a lot of times but there is this one moment that happiness reached another level in life. In July 19, 2013 I had an encounter with Jesus. It truly was the happiest moment of my life. I felt liberated, saved, born again, and alive. I actually felt Jesus by my side. The moment was magical and the happiest part of all was the fact of knowing that God was real. Since that day I’ve been a different person in a better way and to me that is happiness. God’s not dead, he is surely alive and I honestly think nothing could make me happier.
